Safety and compliance
Compressed gas, handled properly.
Food-grade nitrogen still presents compressed-gas and oxygen-displacement hazards. Follow the cylinder label and Safety Data Sheet, and arrange a site-specific risk assessment.
- Ventilate. Nitrogen can displace oxygen. Use and store cylinders only in suitable, ventilated areas with controls assessed for the space. Airflow alone does not establish safety.
- Never inhale. At normal atmospheric pressure nitrogen does not produce nitrous-oxide-type intoxication. Concentrated nitrogen can displace oxygen and cause fatal asphyxiation. Never inhale it. Read why.
- Use a regulator. Connect tanks through a nitrogen regulator rated above the cylinder pressure. Keep them upright, below 50 °C and out of direct sun.
- Single-use only. Never refill, puncture or deliberately vent a disposable cylinder. Follow the supplier’s disposal instructions and confirm acceptance with your council or an approved cylinder facility. Never put cylinders in household bins.
- 18+ and ID. We sell to adults only, check photo ID at the door and refuse delivery where misuse is suspected. A Safety Data Sheet is available on request at info@nitro247.com.
- Certified cylinders. Food-grade N₂, 99.9%+ purity, filled into CE-certified single-use cylinders and transported as UN 1066, Class 2.2 dangerous goods.

How fast is nitrogen delivery in Sydney?
Most orders within 20 km of the Sydney CBD arrive in about 30 minutes. Allow 30 to 60 minutes in outer suburbs or at peak times. Delivery is confirmed after your email request.

Is food-grade nitrogen safe to use with drinks and food?
Yes. Nitrogen makes up about 78% of the air we breathe, is inert and flavourless, and is an approved food additive (INS 941). It is what gives nitro cold brew and stout-style pours their cascading, creamy texture. Use compatible rated equipment, follow the cylinder label and Safety Data Sheet, and obtain site-specific ventilation and gas-monitoring advice. Never inhale it.
Is nitrogen the same as nitrous oxide or nangs?
No. Nitrogen (N₂) is an inert gas used to pour nitro coffee, cocktails and stout-style beer and to preserve wine and oils. Nitrous oxide (N₂O) is the propellant in whipped-cream chargers. Nitro Delivery 247 sells food-grade nitrogen only and does not sell nitrous oxide.
How much nitrogen does a 19 L keg need?
As a guide, pushing and infusing one 19 L keg at 35–40 psi uses roughly 80–150 L of nitrogen. A 1.1 L Nitro Tank (about 110 L of gas) covers roughly one keg, a 3.3 L tank two to four kegs, and a 4.5 L Mega tank three to six kegs, depending on pressure, line length and how long you infuse.
Do I need a gas account or cylinder rental agreement?
No. Every Nitro Tank is a sealed single-use food-grade cylinder. There are no accounts, deposits, rental fees or cylinder returns, and no minimum order.
What payment methods do you accept?
Order requests are sent by email. We confirm stock, delivery, the total and available payment arrangements before dispatch. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Do you check ID on delivery?
Yes. Nitro Delivery 247 is an 18+ service. Drivers check photo ID at the door and hand cylinders to the person who placed the order or a nominated adult. We refuse delivery where misuse is suspected.
